Commercial Transaction/SBA Attorney

Responsibilities

• Independently manage and close SBA 7(a) and 504 loan transactions.
• Advisors lenders on SBA eligibility, compliance, collateral, and closing requirements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial loan documentation.
• Review title commitments, surveys, UCC/lien searches, leases, purchase and sale agreements, and franchise documents.
• Conduct legal due diligence for commercial lending transactions.
• Ensure compliance with SBA SOPs, lending regulations, and closing procedures.
• Collaborate with lenders and internal teams to facilitate timely loan closings.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial lending and SBA lending experience.
• Extensive experience handling SBA 7(a) and 504 loan closings.
• Strong knowledge of SBA SOP requirements, SBA eligibility analysis, commercial loan documentation, UCC filings and lien searches, title and survey review, collateral requirements, commercial real estate and due diligence.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple transactions.
