About the role
This is a full-time, field-based sales role focused on selling commercial truck tires, mechanical services, lubricants, and related fleet solutions to customers across the trucking, fleet, commercial, and industrial sectors. The position is ideal for a motivated, high-energy sales professional who enjoys building relationships, managing their own territory, and growing business through consistent customer contact.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an assigned sales territory across commercial, fleet, trucking, and industrial accounts.
- Sell commercial truck tires, mechanical services, lubricants, and related products and services.
- Spend the majority of the working week in the field developing customer relationships and generating new business.
- Conduct regular prospecting, account development, customer visits, and order-taking calls.
- Complete high-volume sales activity, including approximately 15-20 sales calls per day.
- Follow a structured sales itinerary and maintain consistent account coverage.
- Generate leads, schedule customer appointments, and identify opportunities to grow revenue.
- Track sales activity, pipeline progress, and customer information through the CRM.
- Work closely with Inside Sales, Customer Service, and support teams to ensure a smooth sales process.
- Aid with credit terms, collections conversations, and customer account details when needed.
- Maintain accurate customer files and account records.
- Continue developing product knowledge through sales training, manufacturer training, and mentorship.
- Build long-term customer relationships by providing excellent service, urgency, and practical fleet support.
Requirements
- 3+ years of tire sales experience, ideally within commercial, truck, fleet, or industrial sales.
- Strong knowledge of tires, with the ability to learn related mechanical services and lubricant products.
- Proven ability to manage a sales territory and grow customer accounts.
- Comfortable spending most of the working week in the field with customers and prospects.
- Strong prospecting, relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.
- High-energy, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
- Strong customer service mindset with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow a structured sales process and maintain accurate CRM records.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must have access to a reliable personal vehicle.
- Some college education preferred but not required.
