Commercial Spray Painter

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain paint booths and curing equipment
• Mix and apply coatings to metal components with attention to proper thickness
• Inspect and ensure safety and functionality of painting tools and equipment
• Coordinate with maintenance for preventative upkeep
• Perform routine shift closeout activities and general housekeeping
• Communicate effectively about safety hazards and technical details
• Contribute to process improvements for efficiency and quality
• Complete additional production tasks as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven wet spray painting experience in industrial or maritime settings
• Ability to pass an in-person spray paint performance test
• Strong knowledge of paint types, mixing, and gun maintenance
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and lift objects up to 30 pounds
• Excellent communication skills for safety and technical documentation
• Must be a US citizen and pass drug and background screenings
• Certification at the C12 level is a plus
