Spray Painter

About the role

The Harvey Spray Painter position is full-time and works a Day Shift from Monday to Thursday, 5 am - 3:30 pm. The starting pay is $21.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, or priming.
• Mix paints, coatings, and materials according to specifications and product requirements.
• Operate spray guns, booths, and related painting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Apply paint or coatings evenly to achieve a high-quality, durable finish.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and consistency.
• Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and paint booths.
• Follow all safety protocols, including use of PPE and ventilation systems.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of paints, chemicals, and hazardous materials.
• Keep accurate records of materials used and jobs completed.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors.

• Ability to work as needed in a group and individual setting.
• Ability to visually inspect parts and distinguish between conforming and nonconforming parts per guidelines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with team members, departments, and vendors.
• Strong organization skills.
• Able to multi-task and manage stressful situations.
• Able to prioritize tasks in an efficient manner in order to meet deadlines.
• Strong commitment toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Window Quality specifications.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Home Construction.

Education & Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• 2 – 5 years Quality/MFG experience in a non-electronics/non-food setting.
• Experience using Measuring Equipment (Tape Measure and Calipers required).
• Basic knowledge in use of inspection equipment and reading technical drawings.
• Basic knowledge of quality systems and tolerances (+/-, passible defects, etc).
• Strong aptitude in process improvement and problem solving.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
