Commercial Roofing Superintendent

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Roofing Superintendent to oversee all phases of large and complex commercial roofing projects, including experience with all major commercial roofing systems. This position is based in Dallas, Texas, and requires the ability to effectively lead, manage, and support field employees across a portfolio of jobs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure crews adhere to OSHA and company safety regulations.
• Perform quality control duties regarding the work being performed.
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution.
• Maintain daily reporting of activities on the job site.
• Perform superintendent duties at multiple job sites simultaneously.
• Monitor job site activities daily and assist in future planning.
• Preside over weekly coordination meetings.
• Ensure the job site is kept clean and organized at all times.
• Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
• Monitor projects for labor scheduling, deadlines, project budgets, material inventory, and coordination of material delivery.
• Conduct on-site inspections and manage construction projects from planning through completion.
• Demonstrate effective scheduling to complete projects on time and on budget.
• Conduct regular meetings with foremen and field employees.
• Teach and learn best practices for roofing installation.
• Manage and track multiple jobs.

Requirements

• 5 years of foreman or superintendent experience in commercial roofing.
• Experience managing roofing field workers.
• Commercial roofing experience and knowledge of most common roofing systems and products.
• Familiarity with computer/mobile-based project reporting software.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively internally and externally at all levels.
