Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the commercial construction and roofing sector
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans focused on long-term account growth and market expansion
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including building owners, property managers, developers, consultants, and general contractors
- Lead value-driven sales conversations, positioning Nations Roof as a trusted partner rather than a commodity provider
- Collaborate with internal estimating and operations teams to develop accurate scopes, pricing, and project strategies
- Negotiate contracts and terms in alignment with company objectives, working in partnership with operations leadership as needed
- Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle to ensure satisfaction and drive repeat business
- Represent Nations Roof in the marketplace through networking events, industry associations, and trade organizations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5+ years of sales experience within a commercial contractor environment (e.g., roofing, HVAC, electrical, paving, or similar)
- Demonstrated success in prospecting, developing, and closing new business, as well as growing existing accounts
- Strong understanding of the commercial construction sales cycle and project lifecycle
- Proven ability to sell value and build long-term, trust-based client relationships
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working cross-functionally with estimating and operations teams
- Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel locally within the Chicago area
