Commercial Repair Estimator

What You'll Do

• Perform site inspections and document property damage.
• Aid in developing detailed scopes of work for commercial restoration projects.
• Prepare accurate estimates using Xactimate and other carrier-required estimating platforms.
• Submit estimates for internal review and make revisions as needed.
• Communicate professionally with adjusters, clients, Project Managers, and internal team members.
• Explain emergency service agreements and help guide customers through the restoration process.
• Maintain project documentation, photos, notes, and estimate updates within company software.
• Participate in weekly production meetings and ongoing training.
• Support emergency response efforts, including occasional after-hours commercial losses and surge events.
• Continue developing estimating, construction, and insurance industry knowledge.

Relationship Building

• Build positive relationships with adjusters, clients, and referral partners.
• Deliver outstanding customer service throughout each project.
• Represent RestoreCore professionally in the field and within the community.

What We're Looking For

• 1-3 years of experience in restoration, construction, estimating, insurance, project coordination, or a related field is preferred.
• Basic understanding of residential and commercial construction.
• Experience with Xactimate is preferred, but we're willing to train motivated candidates with relevant industry experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Willingness to learn new estimating software and restoration industry programs.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to local job sites.

Physical Requirements

• This position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting materials or equipment up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Candidates must be able to work in active construction and restoration environments and wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators when necessary.

Work Environment

• This position includes a combination of office work and field inspections at active restoration sites.
• Employees should expect exposure to varying weather conditions, construction environments, dust, debris, and emergency response situations.
• Occasional evenings, weekends, or after-hours response may be required during emergency events.
