Responsibilities
- Represent buyers, sellers, developers, and investors in commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions
- Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, LOIs, amendments, assignments, and closing documents
- Manage transactions from initial negotiations through closing
- Conduct and oversee due diligence, including title, survey, zoning, environmental, and property-related matters
- Review title commitments, title policies, surveys, easements, restrictions, and other real estate documents
- Identify legal and business risks and provide practical, business-minded solutions
- Cook up and coordinate with clients, lenders, brokers, title companies, surveyors, consultants, and opposing counsel
- Aid with entity formation and organizational documents related to transactions
- Manage multiple sophisticated transactions and deadlines simultaneously
- Provide guidance to junior attorneys and support staff as appropriate
Qualifications
- 4+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience
- Strong experience with commercial acquisitions and dispositions
- Experience independently managing transactions from negotiation through closing
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and client-management skills
- Strong title, survey, and due diligence experience
- Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment
- Texas Bar admission required
Pay
$225,000-$300,000 base salary + bonus, depending on experience.
