About the role
We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join our dynamic Legal team. This permanent role is an opportunity for a driven and knowledgeable professional to handle complex commercial real estate matters. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a comprehensive understanding of land use. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, providing legal advice and guidance on a variety of real estate matters.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial real estate agreements and contracts.
- Advise on land use, zoning, and environmental compliance matters.
- Conduct legal research and due diligence on commercial real estate projects.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and external legal counsel, as necessary.
- Keep abreast of current legislation, court decisions, and other developments that may affect the organization's real estate operations.
- Perform risk management analysis for real estate transactions and advise stakeholders accordingly.
- Provide training to team members on legal matters related to commercial real estate.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Must be a licensed attorney in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate law, with a particular focus on land use.
- Proven track record of handling complex commercial real estate transactions.
- Extensive knowledge of real estate law, including land use and zoning regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Pay
$100,000 - $150,000 per year
