Commercial Real Estate Attorney

About the role

The Commercial Real Estate Attorney role is a full-time, on-site position based in Manhattan.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on the acquisition, disposal, leasing, and development of commercial real estate assets, drafting and negotiating contracts, leases, and related documentation.
• Conducting due diligence on properties and transactions, reviewing title and planning documentation, and identifying and mitigating legal risks.
• Supporting broader real estate strategy, participating in negotiations, and contributing to knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law, with demonstrable experience in Commercial Real Estate matters.
• Expertise in Leases, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial lease agreements.
• Proficiency in Due Diligence related to real estate transactions, including title, planning, and regulatory reviews.
• Borrower side representation experience advantageous.
• Qualified solicitor or attorney with admission in New York; prior practice in a reputable law firm or in-house team.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and sound commercial judgement.
• Able to manage multiple matters concurrently, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills; experience with cross-border or international transactions is an advantage.
