Commercial Property Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (3-5 years PQE)

About the Role

You’ll manage a varied and engaging caseload of commercial property matters, advising a wide range of clients including SMEs, developers, investors, and occupiers. Your work will span a broad spectrum of property transactions, including:

  • Freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals
  • Commercial leases (acting for both landlords and tenants)
  • Property finance and secured lending
  • Development projects and site assembly
  • Landlord and tenant matters and general estate management

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the firm and play an active role in maintaining and developing long-standing client relationships.

Requirements

We’re keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX), with a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ PQE in commercial property
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to manage files with autonomy
  • Excellent communication and client care abilities
  • A commercial, pragmatic approach to legal advice
  • Confidence in building rapport and contributing to business development
  • A collaborative, flexible mindset and a proactive work ethic

Responsibilities

Assist with post-completion conveyancing matters, including:

  • Land Registry applications and registrations
  • Preparation and submission of applications to HM Land Registry
  • Review of title documents and requisitions, assisting with responses where required
  • Ensuring completion documents are accurately filed, maintained, and updated
  • Drafting legal documents, reports, and correspondence using Microsoft Office
  • Organising and maintaining case files, documents, and schedules to ensure efficient workflow
  • Managing correspondence via Microsoft Outlook, liaising with clients, solicitors, lenders, and third parties
  • Supporting the legal team with administrative duties, including data entry, filing, and document management
  • Conducting basic legal and procedural research when required
  • Ensuring all work is completed accurately, confidentially, and in line with firm policies and regulatory requirements

Essential

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Genuine interest in developing a career in the legal sector

Desirable

  • Previous experience in administration or customer service
  • Familiarity with conveyancing processes or HM Land Registry procedures
  • Experience using case management systems
  • Basic understanding of legal terminology and legal research tools

Pay

Trainee Paralegal – Post Completion: £25,000.00–£28,000.00 per year

Commercial Property Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive: Salary competitive and commensurate with experience

Schedule

Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Location: Office-based
