Commercial Portfolio Manager- CRE

About the role

The Commercial Senior Portfolio Manager plays a crucial role in managing a portfolio of accounts, reviewing and recommending credit decisions, and collaborating with the Credit Analyst for portfolio management duties.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients and participate in business development calls
• Assess prospective client's viability for credit
• Define borrowers and guarantors, deal structure, credit terms and conditions, and financial covenants
• Generate commitment letters
• Provide business partners with credit lending policy interpretation
• Perform final risk rating analysis
• Capture and document credit decisions, conditions, and modifications
• Collaborate with the Credit Analyst for portfolio management duties
• Communicate directly with clients regarding credit events and actions as needed
• Execute decisions to renew or modify deals
• Work independently to pitch the most complex deal structures
• Focus on continuous learning to stay updated with market dynamics
• Subject-matter expert, mentor to more junior PMs and Credit Analysts
• Leverage expertise to provide insights into the Bank's different lines of business and related economics

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting)
• At least 8 years credit analysis and/or loan review experience in CRE credit/underwriting
• Highly proficient analytical skills, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Professional presence (client-facing)
• Experience managing an advanced commercial client portfolio with complexity
• Ability to partner with all deal stakeholders including clients, relationship managers, and credit teams
• Expertise in financial and risk analysis, including financial modeling
• Demonstrated expertise in effective problem-solving
• Proficient with technology and able to learn new applications

Pay

Commercial Portfolio Manager- CRE Total Base Pay Range: $96,500.00 - $207,500.00 USD Annually

Schedule

Normal office hours with some travel required.
