Commercial Plumber

About the role

We are looking for a commercial plumber for a direct hire position. This role requires completing a drug screening prior to employment and throughout, including a thorough background check with no violent or sexual charges allowed.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems and components as required by building code and installation requirements
• Review building plans and specifications
• Identify required tools and special equipment
• Identify required type and size of pipe
• Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures
• Install supports, hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment
• Assemble and install valves and fittings
• Install water equipment, piping and controls
• Install underground storm sanitary and water piping systems
• Install fixtures (sinks, tubs, toilets)
• Install water heaters
• Test pipe system and fixtures for stability

Requirements

• Proven track record/references with at least 3-5 years' plumbing experience in construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines
• Ability to read, understand and apply plumbing codes
• Ability to read, understand specifications and blueprints
• Ability to communicate and report effectively as required by customer or management
• Ability to work both independently and as part of the team
• Ability to instruct apprentices as needed
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and uneven terrain
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings or weekends as needed
