About the role
Parking Management Company (PMC) is a national leader in hospitality-focused parking services. The Commercial Parking Manager oversees the daily operations of one or multiple commercial parking facilities, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: serving as the main point of contact with each property, fostering open communication, and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
- Daily Operational Oversight: handling scheduling, staffing, and quality assurance at each location, with frequent site visits to identify and resolve operational issues.
- Financial and Administrative Tasks: tracking site-level revenue, payroll, and expenses, and collaborating with the Regional Director on cost-control measures and accurate record-keeping.
- Team Supervision and Training: recruiting and training hourly associates, setting clear performance goals, and offering ongoing coaching.
- Communication and Reporting: providing regular status updates and performance reports to the Regional Director, and coordinating with staff and leadership as needed.
- Travel and Communication: traveling to site visits, overseeing performance, addressing challenges, and supporting new account launches, with ongoing communication and updates to leadership.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: actively involving staff in planning and decision-making, taking full responsibility for team performance, and maintaining an open and accessible leadership style.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, with an acceptable motor vehicle record and clean background check.
- Advanced client management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to dissect complex data and situations.
- Effective training and leadership skills, with practical knowledge of basic training methods, operational software, and essential leadership principles.
- Payroll management expertise, with the ability to manage payroll and instruct managers in creating efficient schedules.
- Technological proficiency, with a solid grasp of relevant technology and the ability to collaborate with IT departments and external vendors.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to manage various demands and handle unexpected challenges.
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), with 1 year minimum previous supervisory and related customer service/hospitality experience preferred. Management or leadership-related training/certifications/business is also preferred.
Work Environment
The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings, requiring collaboration with teams, vendors, and clients on-site and in corporate environments. Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions and noisy environments is expected.
Physical Demands
Requirements may include extended periods of standing, walking, and the ability to lift moderate weights when necessary. Specific vision abilities and cell phone use may also be required.
