Commercial Paralegal
About the role
We are seeking a Commercial Paralegal to provide foundational legal support to attorneys and senior paralegals on the Commercial/Transactional team at Lennar, one of the nation's leading homebuilders.
Responsibilities
- Maintain library and database of thousands of documents relating to customer purchase and sale agreements, and community-specific addenda (“PSA Documents”).
- Create and/or maintain regulatory databases, reports, and training modules regarding licensing, political contributions, advertising, warranties, and other matters as they arise.
- Perform general administrative duties for one or more attorneys in the Legal department.
- Prepare routine legal documents, templates, and administrative materials, including proofreading draft documents and obtaining execution signatures on finalized materials.
- Assist Associate General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel in the preparation, revision, and organization of thousands of legal documents including PSA Documents, disclosures, and disclaimers.
- Support other members of the legal team with document retention, insurance, and litigation-related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Paralegal or Legal Assistant Associate Degree and/or paralegal certification.
- 2-5 years of Paralegal experience.
- Experience working across corporate departments and supporting executives and other employees in corporate legal projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal fluency in English.
- Impeccable organizational, time management, attention to detail, and proofreading skills.
- Self-starter: ability to independently resolve inquiries and issues with skill and judgment.
- Ability to balance multiple projects with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain poise in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
- Must be able to demonstrate discretion in handling highly confidential information.
- A consummate team player who interacts well with co-workers, supervisors, and management, maintaining a professional demeanor and attitude.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
Pay
We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an hourly rate of $28.57 - $37, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials (e.g., cost of labor/living, etc.), and operational considerations. This position may be eligible for bonuses and commissions.
