Commercial Maintenance Technician (West Valley City, UT |)

About the role

Join a dynamic team as a Commercial Maintenance Technician supporting facilities across West Valley City, UT. This on-site role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality maintenance services, including preventative, corrective, and predictive repairs, to commercial properties. You will perform a variety of tasks such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC maintenance, ensuring facilities are safe, functional, and visually appealing.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative and corrective maintenance tasks per work orders, maintaining high-quality standards.
• Conduct routine carpentry, painting, drywall repairs, and touch-up work to ensure facilities are in excellent condition.
• Handle minor electrical maintenance, including replacing switches, outlets, and light fixtures, in compliance with state laws.
• Utilize technology (tablet, smartphone) to document work, submit reports, and update work order statuses promptly.
• Arrange and procure necessary materials for maintenance tasks to ensure timely completion.
• Provide excellent customer service by building positive relationships and maintaining clear communication with clients and support teams.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, OSHA standards, and company policies during daily operations.
• Assist with larger projects by providing estimates and supporting on-site activities as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or trades experience preferred.
• 2-5 years of general maintenance experience, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or HVAC work.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and reliable transportation for daily local travel.

Qualifications

This is a contract-to-hire position with competitive pay and a consistent schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with some nights and weekends possible.
