Maintenance Technician - District West

About the role

At Bell Partners, our Maintenance Technicians play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of life for our residents by performing a wide variety of tasks including painting, snow/ice removal, gutter cleaning, filter replacement, working with trash compactor, plumbing, light bulb replacement, air conditioning maintenance, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repair.

Responsibilities

• Show respect for residents and community staff, providing excellent customer service
• Perform routine interior and exterior community maintenance, as well as equipment maintenance as scheduled and requested
• Respond to all repair requests and maintenance concerns from residents and staff
• Report equipment malfunctions and breakdowns as well as any hazardous conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor in a timely manner
• Maintain resident privacy and receive proper authority before entering resident apartments
• Maintain all maintenance items in a safe area to prevent injuries
• Attend in-service training and education sessions, as assigned
• Work with vendors as instructed, such as landscaping, painting, asphalt, etc.
• Follow all safety/OSHA requirements
• Work with limited supervision
• Work with minimal supervision

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• High School degree or equivalent
• Understanding of and alignment with Bell Core Values
• 1-3 years of previous maintenance experience in a similar facility preferred
