Commercial Maintenance Technician (Charlotte, NC)
About the role
Join our team as a Commercial Maintenance Technician, providing expert maintenance and repair services to commercial properties across Charlotte, NC. You’ll perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on buildings, equipment, and grounds. Travel to various client sites using company vehicles and tools. Your work will ensure facilities are maintained to the highest standards, creating a safe, functional, and professional environment. Use your multi-trade skills—including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, and HVAC—to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Collaborate directly with clients, delivering exceptional service and maintaining positive relationships.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial buildings, equipment, and grounds
- Travel to various client sites using company-provided vehicles and tools
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues using multi-trade skills (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC)
- Collaborate directly with clients to deliver exceptional service and maintain positive relationships
- Ensure facilities meet safety, functionality, and professional standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in trades preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in property maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
- Valid driver’s license in good standing and applicable certifications/licenses
- Ability to perform minor electrical, plumbing, and painting repairs
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance (OSHA awareness)
- Proficiency with technology including tablets and smartphones for work order management and reporting
