Position Summary
As a Commercial Loan Officer, you will build and manage relationships with business clients by providing tailored lending solutions. You’ll play a key role in growing our commercial portfolio while helping local businesses succeed. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship-building, financial problem-solving, and making an impact in the community.
What You’ll Do
- Build and manage a portfolio of commercial loan relationships, including business, real estate, and construction lending
- Develop new business through networking, referrals, and community involvement
- Met with clients to understand their financial needs and recommend lending and banking solutions
- Analyze financial statements, credit information, and collateral to evaluate loan opportunities
- Structure and present loan requests with clear recommendations and supporting analysis
- Monitor existing loans to ensure compliance, strong credit quality, and client satisfaction
- Identify potential credit concerns and collaborate with leadership to develop solutions
- Deliver responsive, high-quality service to clients and internal partners
- Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships by making referrals to other lines of business, including treasury management, deposit products, and other bank services
- Actively support deposit growth by developing and maintaining strong operating account relationships with commercial clients
- Comply with all applicable banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act requirements and information security standards
Additional Information
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but may mentor junior team members. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required. Working knowledge of commercial lending systems and processes is preferred.
