Commercial Loan Closing Manager I
About the role
The Commercial Loan Closing Manager I directs the work of a team of loan closing professionals responsible for all aspects of commercial loan due diligence, documentation, and closing execution. This includes satisfaction of approval conditions prior to loan documentation preparation. The role partners closely with Relationship Managers (RM), Portfolio Managers (PM), Underwriters (UW), Legal, and other internal partners to ensure accurate interpretation of credit approvals and timely progression of transactions. The position plays a central role in coordinating activities across stakeholders to drive successful closing outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provides day-to-day leadership and oversight of loan closing activities.
- Serves as primary point of coordination and issue resolution for loan closings.
- Reviews credit approvals and interprets closing conditions.
- Ensures due diligence supports accurate documentation and lien perfection.
- Confirms satisfaction of closing conditions and addresses deficiencies.
- PARTNERS WITH INTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS TO ENSURE ALIGNMENT.
- Maintains communication on transaction status and timelines.
- SUPPORTS RISK-BASED DECISION MAKING WITHIN ESTABLISHED AUTHORITY.
- MONITORS PIPELINE, WORKLOAD, AND TIMELINES.
- IDENTIFIES AND LEADS PROCESS IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES.
- ENSURES COMPLIANCE WITH POLICIES AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS.
- Supervises a team of loan closing professionals.
- PROVIDES FEEDBACK, COACHING, AND DEVELOPMENT.
- BUILDS SUCCESION PLANS AND TALENT PIPELINE.
- RECOGNIZES AND REWARDS PERFORMANCE.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 6–8 years of commercial lending experience.
- 2+ years leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of loan documentation and credit policy.
- Strong decision-making and judgment skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder coordination.
- Ability to drive process improvement and efficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and banking systems.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 6–8 years of commercial lending experience.
- 2+ years leadership or supervisory experience.
Skills

Pay
Total Base Pay Range: $71,100.00 - $145,900.00 USD Annually
