Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the commercial closing pipeline and ensure closing documents are accurate and all exceptions have been cleared.
- Ensure transactions are efficiently distributed and processed in a timely manner.
- Provides support and guidance to the commercial closing staff.
- Resolves any unusual or complex problems.
- Oversee all post-closing related activities such as receipt of all required recorded documentation, title policies, and completion of collateral files.
- Exercises the usual authority of a supervisor, including staffing, scheduling, training, discipline, performance appraisals, and salary recommendations.
- Maintain current knowledge of agency guidelines, state and federal laws governing commercial closings for New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
- Ensures that the Bank’s closing policies and procedures are in compliance with all governmental regulations and reporting requirements.
- Communicates regulatory and procedural changes to staff.
- Recommend changes and more efficient methods of departmental procedures to Senior Management with systems specialists and the IS Department to implement changes to the origination system for the Closing/Post Closing functions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Minimum 5 years of management experience;
- Minimum 5 years of Commercial Lending experience.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing a team of ten or more staff;
- Knowledge/experience working with Salesforce & nCino.
Core Competencies/Skills
- Working knowledge of Commercial Loan documentation (i.e. Commitment Letter, Loan Note, Certificate of Formation, Title Documents, Beneficial Ownership, Insurance Policies, etc.)
- Working knowledge and understanding of insurance requirements (liability, hazard, flood) for commercial loans
- Skilled in reviewing and interpreting Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) Finance Statements, Federal and State tax lien search results, Bankruptcy and Judgement search results
- Ability to communicate and interact with employees at all organizational levels
- Results oriented with a proven track record to motivate self and others to accomplish objectives
- Excellent organizational, follow-up, and time management skills
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Schedule
This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days work from home, based on business needs. This arrangement may change without notice.
