Snell & Wilmer L.L.P., one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the western United States, is seeking a full-time Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join its Commercial Litigation practice group in the Las Vegas office.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Litigation Paralegal with 3 to 5 years of experience to assist attorneys in managing all stages of complex commercial litigation cases, including contract disputes, real estate, construction, franchising, banking, and consumer lending. This position requires in-office work during training and will transition to a hybrid schedule upon completion, with flexibility based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the organization and maintenance of case files, including electronic document management, ensuring all materials are up-to-date and easily accessible
  • Draft and edit pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and other court documents for attorney review
  • Coordinate and assist with discovery efforts, including document collection, review, and production, and maintain privilege logs
  • Utilize e-discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity) to manage, analyze, and produce electronic evidence
  • Conduct legal and factual research to support case strategy and draft summaries of findings; cite check legal memorandum and briefs
  • Assist with the preparation of trial materials, such as exhibits, witness files, and trial binders; coordinate logistics for hearings and trials; attend trial when requested in state and federal courts, sometimes requiring out-of-town travel
  • Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, providing updates and gathering necessary information for case progression
  • Manage case calendars, track deadlines, track billable time, and maintain organized records of all case activities

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree and paralegal certificate from ABA-accredited paralegal training program or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in a law firm environment
  • Strong understanding of litigation processes, including federal and state rules of procedure
  • Substantive knowledge of the litigation process and e-discovery, including document collection, review, and production
  • Familiarity with court filing procedures, including e-filing systems

Skills

  • Experience with Relativity (RelOne) is a plus
  • Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal software platforms, along with Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments while delivering consistent, quality work-product to both attorneys and clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage tight deadlines
