Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of ERISA litigation
- Provide counsel and advice to clients on matters related to employee benefits and insurance litigation
- Draft legal documents
- Conduct thorough and detailed legal research
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys and support staff
- Participate in Law and Motion Practice
- Maintain current knowledge of changes in ERISA law and related legal fields
- Regularly communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other relevant parties
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in California and in good standing with the state bar
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in ERISA litigation, insurance litigation, and employee benefits
- Prior judicial clerkship experience is highly desirable
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills
- Experience with Law and Motion Practice and conducting depositions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex legal issues
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and court personnel
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
- High ethical standards and professional integrity
