Commercial Litigation Attorney

Responsibilities

  • Conduct complex legal research and writing in support of commercial litigation matters.
  • Draft and revise motions, oppositions, replies, memoranda of points and authorities, and other substantive legal briefs.
  • Support law-and-motion practice, including dispositive motions and other significant pretrial motions.
  • Analyze statutes, case law, and other legal authority to develop well-supported legal arguments.
  • Collaborate with litigation counsel on legal strategy and written advocacy.
  • Provide substantive litigation support across three active commercial litigation matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven years of commercial litigation experience as a practicing attorney.
  • Demonstrated experience with legal research and writing in complex commercial litigation matters.
  • Extensive experience drafting substantive motions, briefs, memoranda of points and authorities, and other litigation filings.
  • Strong law-and-motion experience.
  • Able to independently manage substantive legal writing assignments.

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar license in good standing.

Schedule

Full-time (40 hours/week) preferred; attorneys able to consistently commit 20-30 hours per week will also be considered.
