Key Responsibilities
- Handle a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, shareholder issues, and other complex civil cases.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses with precision and efficiency.
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis to support litigation strategy.
- Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and manage hearings.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys in preparing for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
- Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed and engaged throughout the litigation process.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in Minnesota or ability to waive in.
- 4+ years of commercial litigation experience at a law firm.
- Strong legal writing and research skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience with depositions, hearings, or trial preparation strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple matters independently while working in a collaborative team environment.
