Commercial Litigation Attorney
About the role
We are growing our litigation team and are seeking a seasoned Commercial Litigation Attorney to help us handle a wide range of complex business disputes. Responsibilities
- Lead complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts
- Oversee cases from early assessment through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, ADR proceedings, and trial
- Analyze legal and factual issues, conduct research, and prepare persuasive written advocacy
- Develop litigation strategies and provide clear, practical guidance to clients regarding risk and outcomes
- Appear on behalf of clients in court, arbitrations, and mediations
- Resolve matters through negotiation and alternative dispute resolution where appropriate
- Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate with support staff
- Build trusted client relationships and support business development initiatives
Requirements
- At least 5+ years of meaningful commercial litigation experience
- Admission to the Connecticut Bar
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Strong analytical, writing, and courtroom skills
- Ability to manage demanding matters independently while thriving in a collaborative team setting
Qualifications
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with contract review and drafting
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
Skills
- Strong negotiation and mediation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
