About The Position

The ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent customer service skills and serve as a technical resource to a large and growing binding and brokerage team. They will work with the in-house underwriter to handle underwriting information, prepare quotes, and process bind orders. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing audits, binders/invoicing, and endorsements
  • Responding promptly to requests from the brokerage team, underwriters, retailers, or managers regarding account servicing issues
  • Developing a professional rapport with clients and underwriters to enhance business relationships
  • Maintaining accuracy and meeting compliance standards in departmental procedures
  • Acting as a liaison between clients and the underwriter to manage all account documentation
  • Initiating cancellation and non-renewal notices according to statutory and contractual requirements
  • Maintaining the suspense system and following up for receipt of policies, endorsements, inspections reports, correspondence, claims, etc., from external sources
  • Maintaining current knowledge of the insurance industry through participation in virtual workshops, seminars, literature reviews, and formal continuing education
  • Ordering inspections and renewals in the company portal
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • One year of wholesale insurance experience
  • State-specific Insurance License
  • High School graduate with college courses preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of Commercial Lines E&S products
  • Previous work experience in insurance underwriting, customer service, with a successful track record
  • Positive attitude and enjoys helping others through frequent phone and email communication
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organization skills with a high level of detail orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and various rating portals
  • Technical Assistant experience or three years of general insurance experience (preferred)
  • Five years' experience with property and casualty lines of business (preferred)

Work Location

This work location can be hybrid or remote. Preferred working hours are to support the Pacific Standard Time zone.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is $25-$29/hour with additional discretionary bonus opportunity. This compensation will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
