Job Summary

The Business Development Manager will partner with Sales, Marketing, and other functional groups to develop and implement processes and practices which leverage business intelligence into enhanced business performance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Horticulture

  • Experience: At least 5 years related work experience, at least 3 years B2B sales experience

  • Licenses/Certifications: As required by state and federal law, valid driver license issued by the state where employed, Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) and/or other relevant licenses a plus

Specialized Skills

  • Strong customer service

  • Ability to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends, and to travel extensively within assigned territory

  • Experience working with commercial property managers a plus

  • Excellent oral and written communication

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks

  • Organizational skills

  • Flexibility

  • Intermediate understanding of CRM software

  • Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

  • Ability to analyze and interpret business periodicals

  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English

  • Ability to speak effectively, present information and answer questions

Physical Requirements

  • Constantly required to talk, hear, see, sit, stand and walk

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Work Conditions

  • Occasionally works with mechanical objects and outside in all weather conditions

  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals

  • Occasionally exposed to loud noise levels

Salary Information

$85,000 - $110,000

Commission

Up to 6% on applicable sales
