Commercial Insurance Account Manager

This is a hybrid opportunity requiring onsite in-office presence 4 days per week at our office in Raleigh, NC. Applicants must be located within a commutable distance to Raleigh.

About the Role

VFIS of North Carolina is the leading provider of insurance for non-profit emergency service organizations, including volunteer fire departments, ambulance, and rescue squads in the state of North Carolina. As an Account Manager, you will provide superior service to our clients, handling new business submissions, policy examinations, endorsements, and comparisons to binders and expiring policies.

Responsibilities

• Market, service, and negotiate renewals while resolving client issues.
• Review and rate key accounts, ensuring the integrity of policies and related documents.
• Maintain productive business relations through extensive contact with clients, producers, and underwriters.
• Produce and deliver business proposals to producers.
• Ensure clients have continuous and proper coverage, advising them of any recommended changes.
• Apply knowledge of coverages and forms to research and reconcile discrepancies.
• Prepare specifications, applications, underwriting data, and related information for marketing insurance products.
• Manage all aspects of account administration.

Requirements

• Must have and maintain a current Property & Casualty insurance license.
• 1-3 years of related experience in a professional office environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, exceptional organization, and time-management abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
• Proficiency in data entry and MS Office Suite.
