We are seeking a skilled and experienced technician to join Wendel Mechanical, ensuring our clients enjoy comfortable, safe, and energy-efficient environments.

About the role

As a Commercial HVAC Technician, you will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, boilers, rooftop units, chillers, and ventilation systems.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and resolve HVAC system malfunctions and component failures.
  • Inspect and test HVAC systems to identify problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific HVAC requirements and provide cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance and repair logs.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements and emerging HVAC technologies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and resolving issues promptly.
  • Work independently or as part of a team, depending on the project requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Commercial HVAC Technician, with a minimum of [X] years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with HVAC control systems and ability to diagnose and resolve control-related issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Valid HVAC technician license/certification, as required by state regulations.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces, as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
