Commercial HVAC Sheet Metal Installer Foreman

About the role

RLP Mechanical is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead HVAC Sheet Metal Installer / Foreman to oversee commercial ductwork and sheet metal installations across the Greater DFW area.

Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise a crew of HVAC installers on commercial sheet metal and ductwork projects. - Ensure top-quality, code-compliant installations that meet or exceed project specs and deadlines. - Work directly with project managers and general contractors to keep projects running smoothly. - Mentor and train apprentices and junior installers—build a solid team that performs with pride. - Maintain detailed records of job progress, materials, and hours. - Occasionally travel within Texas for out-of-area projects.

Requirements

- 8+ years of commercial HVAC sheet metal installation experience. - 4+ years in a lead installer, foreman, or supervisory role. - Deep knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and sheet metal installation best practices. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents. - Strong communication, team leadership, and problem-solving skills. - Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. - VRF system experience and EPA certification are a plus, not required.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent. - OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety Training. - Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

- Proficient in commercial HVAC systems and sheet metal installation. - Strong leadership and mentoring abilities. - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
