Commercial HVAC Service Tech

About the role

Allied Mechanical is hiring an HVAC Service Technician to join their growing team. This full-time role involves diagnosing and repairing various HVAC systems, conducting routine maintenance, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure systems run at peak performance
• Identify and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults across HVAC equipment
• Replace or repair components such as motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats
• Read and apply wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals
• Communicate service findings and next steps to clients and teammates
• Accurately log service work, including parts used and system condition
• Comply with all safety, code, and company compliance requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification or technical training a plus
• 3+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician or similar role
• Solid grasp of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components
• EPA 608 certification
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel between job sites

Qualifications

• NATE certification or equivalent preferred
• Experience with commercial HVAC systems and equipment
• Comfort using digital service tools and mobile work order platforms
