Commercial HVAC Service Tech
About the role
Allied Mechanical is hiring an HVAC Service Technician to join their growing team. This full-time role covers diagnostics, repair, and maintenance across commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to keep systems running at peak performance
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults across HVAC equipment
- Repair or replace components including motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats
- Read and apply wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals
- Keep clients and teammates informed on service findings and next steps
- Log service work accurately, including parts used and system condition
- Follow all safety, code, and company compliance requirements
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification or technical training a plus
- 3+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician or similar role
- Solid grasp of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components
- EPA 608 certification
- Ability to read technical documents and blueprints
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license with ability to travel between job sites
Qualifications
- NATE certification or equivalent preferred
- Experience with commercial HVAC systems and equipment
- Comfort using digital service tools and mobile work order platforms
Skills
Required skills include a strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components, along with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively. Preferred qualifications include NATE certification or equivalent experience.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
