Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC/R systems (WIC/R, RTUs, exhaust fans, hoods, make-up air units, DOAS systems).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues across multiple sites.
- Support refrigeration and kitchen ventilation systems.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Handle basic electrical and plumbing maintenance as needed.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and warranty work.
- Use Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor performance and diagnose issues.
- Provide remote troubleshooting support to onsite teams and vendors.
- Review reports (startup, testing, balancing) to verify system performance.
- Assist with new facility openings by verifying installation and system functionality.
- Identify issues early and coordinate corrective actions.
What Your Week Looks Like
- 70% hands-on HVAC/R maintenance & repair.
- 20% troubleshooting & diagnostics (onsite + remote).
- 10% inspections, reporting, and system verification.
Requirements
- 4+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience.
- Experience working with rooftop units, ventilation systems, or refrigeration (WIC/F).
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites locally.
Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC Universal certification (EPA, trade school, or equivalent).
- Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site facilities.
- Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
Work Environment & Schedule
- Field-based role across the Greater Los Angeles area.
- Local travel between sites (home daily).
- Monday–Friday schedule with on-call rotation and overtime opportunities.

Pay
$29.75 - $35.50/hour + overtime.
