About the Role
Lennox AES has immediate openings for experienced Journeyman Commercial HVAC Installers. Journeymen travel nationally and work under the supervision of Crew Leaders, typically in teams of 4 to 6 members. This role involves 60-70 hour work weeks.
Responsibilities
- Work under the direction/supervision of a Master HVAC mechanic with 3-5 years of trade experience.
- Pass journeyman testing in certain states as required.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of OSHA guidelines for the construction industry.
- Travel throughout the U.S. on 3 to 4-week deployment cycles.
- Work overtime hours when required.
- Work in outdoor elements (roofs) in hot and cold weather conditions.
- Within 90 days of employment, obtain certifications in:
- Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP/Aerial Scissor Lift)
- Telehandler Forklift Certification
- Crane Rigger/Signal Person Certification
- OSHA 10 Certification
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial HVAC equipment replacements, including rooftop units, adapter curbs, and HVAC electrical systems.
- Ability to acquire state-required licenses (Journeyman licensing).
- Willingness to work overtime.
- 100% travel required.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must pass a national background check, pre-employment drug screening, and motor vehicle records check (MVR).
Pay
This is an hourly non-exempt role with a starting pay range of $27 – $44/hour, depending on geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. Overtime is available for hours worked beyond 40 in a week (or as required by state law).
