Commercial HVAC Estimator / Assistant Project Manager

Flow Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Commercial Mechanical Estimator to join our expanding team. Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour based on experience
• Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Standard 8-Hour Shift with Flexibility Based on Project Demands

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial mechanical and HVAC projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform detailed labor and material takeoffs
• Develop proposals
• Coordinate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Ensure all estimates are complete and aligned with project scope
• Support project coordination through submittals, RFIs, procurement assistance, job cost tracking, and documentation management for awarded projects
• Conduct occasional field visits for pre-bid meetings, site verification, and project support (role is primarily office-based)

Requirements

• At least 5 years of commercial HVAC or mechanical estimating experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial mechanical systems, construction practices, and estimating processes
• Comfortable reading construction plans and specifications
• Experience performing digital takeoffs, managing documentation, and working with estimating software such as FastEST, QuoteSoft, Trimble, Bluebeam, or similar platforms
• Strong communication, organization, and vendor coordination skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Valid driver's license
• Must pass a background check and drug test upon conditional offer of employment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Subcontractor buyout, scheduling, and job cost tracking experience
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required for candidates with strong practical experience)
