Commercial HVAC Controls Technician
About the role
withcontaining that prose. - Responsibilities: The list under "What You’ll Do" and "Duties And Responsibilities". Those are bullet points. We'll combine them into a
- list.
- Requirements: Possibly "Pre-Hire Requirements" (Drug test, Driving record check, Background check). Also "Credentials & Experience" maybe qualifies as Requirements/Qualifications. The instructions: Use headings for Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We need to decide what goes where.
We have "Credentials & Experience" which includes: 2+ years of hands-on field experience (4-year or 2-year technical degree preferred) Strong background in HVAC and/or mechanical systems Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting expertise Equivalent education/experience combinations considered
That seems like Requirements/Qualifications. Could split: Requirements (experience, education) and Qualifications (maybe credentials). But we can combine into one section if content is substantive. The instruction: Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we could have Requirements (including experience, education) and Skills & Abilities separate.
We have "Skills & Abilities" list: Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Knowledge of DDC control theory and applications Experience with electronics, electrical circuits, and HVAC systems Computer programming, hardware, and software knowledge Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent communication and customer interaction skills
That's Skills.
We have Benefits: "Benefits we offer: Vacation package 401(k) with company match & profit sharing Annual bonuses Health, dental, and vision insurance with low deductibles Health retirement savings plan". Also earlier line "Benefits: Competitive salaryHealth insuranceProfit sharingTraining & developmentVision insurance". So we need to combine all benefits info. Should include: Competitive salary, Health insurance, Profit sharing, Training & development, Vision insurance, Vacation package, 401(k) with company match & profit sharing, Annual bonuses, Health, dental, and vision insurance with low deductibles, Health retirement savings plan. Note some duplication (profit sharing appears twice). We'll list unique items.
Pay: "$30.00 – $50.00/hour (based on experience, work history, and ability to learn)". Also Job Type: Full-time with overtime available. That could be Schedule? Actually schedule is about hours; we have full-time with overtime available. Could put under Schedule. Pay section separate.
We also have location: "Location: Columbus/Cincinnati Area". That's minor metadata; we can fold into a short
maybe under About the role or separate? The instruction: do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it. So we can include location in a short paragraph maybe after About the role. We need to remove boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO etc. Not present. Now construct HTML. Structure:

We should not repeat job title as heading. Already not. Check for any duplicated content: Ensure we didn't miss any substantive info: The "What You’ll Do" list we included. The "Duties And Responsibilities" list we included (some overlap maybe). Some items may be duplicates: "Train owners and peers on control systems" appears both in What You’ll Do and Duties; also "Training (Owner and peer)" appears. We might have duplicates. We should deduplicate to avoid repetition. Let's combine unique items. Let's list all duties from both sections: What You’ll Do: - Perform start-up functions on systems per project plans, specifications, and contract requirements - Analyze building control and HVAC system performance - Ensure all documentation, drawings, and field notes are accurate and complete - Provide project engineering support when needed - Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or component issues - Commission control and HVAC systems, including DDC components - Train owners and peers on control systems - Build and wire panels as needed - Support the Service Department with troubleshooting calls Duties And Responsibilities: - Control program use, including: Trend Logs, Zones, Alarms, Reports, Back up, Graphics, minor DDC code modifications - Checkout of DDC control components - Start up of Control Systems for projects - Commissioning of Control and HVAC Systems - Record and Update drawings - Execute field changes and as-builds - Troubleshoot component and equipment problems - Training (Owner and peer) - Assist Project Engineer with field tasks/coordination - Panel Construction - Field Documentation (As Build drawings, Check-out sheets) - Manage time to complete assignments on time and within budget - Work with Service Department on trouble calls Now combine unique items, merging similar: - Perform start-up functions on systems per project plans, specifications, and contract requirements (similar to Start up of Control Systems for projects? Might be similar but keep both? Could be redundant. We'll keep both but maybe combine: "Perform start-up functions on systems per project plans, specifications, and contract requirements; Start up of Control Systems for projects". Might be okay. - Analyze building control and HVAC system performance - Ensure all documentation, drawings, and field notes are accurate and complete (similar to Record and Update drawings, Field Documentation). Keep both? Might be redundant. We'll keep both but maybe combine: "Ensure all documentation, drawings, and field notes are accurate and complete; Record and Update drawings; Execute field changes and as-builds; Field Documentation (As Build drawings, Check-out sheets)". Could be many. But we should preserve all substantive information; not summarizing away detail. So we need to keep each bullet as is, even if similar. The instruction: Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. So we should keep each bullet as separate items, even if similar. However we should not repeat identical lines. There are some near-duplicates but not exact. We'll keep them. Thus we will produce a long list. Now ensure we didn't miss any other info: "We’re seeking individuals with strong technical skills, customer service abilities, and a solid work history." Already in About the role. "Experience with large projects and commercial systems is highly valued." Already. Now "Job Type: Full-time with overtime available" we used in Schedule. Now "Pay: $30.00 – $50.00/hour (based on experience, work history, and ability to learn)" used. Now "Benefits we offer: Vacation package 401(k) with company match & profit sharing Annual bonuses Health, dental, and vision insurance with low deductibles Health retirement savings plan" plus earlier "Benefits: Competitive salaryHealth insuranceProfit sharingTraining & developmentVision insurance". We combined. Now "Pre-Hire Requirements Drug test Driving record check (for insurability) Background check" we included. Now "Credentials & Experience" we included as Requirements. Now "Skills & Abilities" we included as Skills. Now "Why Join The K Company?" paragraph: "Since 1972, we’ve been setting the standard in HVAC design, installation, and service across commercial and residential markets. From furnaces, boilers, and chillers to advanced control systems, we cover it all—and we want the best people to grow with us." This is substantive; could be part of About the role or a separate section like "About the company". But we only have headings list; we could add to About the role. The instruction: Use
