About the Role

We're looking for an experienced commercial handyman to join our team at Mr. Handyman of Northern Virginia. This is steady, year-round work with a company that respects skilled tradesmen and tradeswomen. Every day brings different repair and maintenance tasks across various commercial spaces, including offices, retail stores, restaurants, medical offices, churches, and industrial buildings.

This isn't new construction or long-term project work—it's varied, hands-on repair and improvement tasks that keep commercial properties in top shape.

Responsibilities

• Finish carpentry and trim work
• Drywall repair, painting, and patching
• Commercial door and hardware repairs
• Ceiling tile and grid repairs
• Light plumbing and electrical repairs
• Flooring and tile repairs
• Tenant improvements and punch lists
• General building maintenance and repairs

You’ll work independently, troubleshoot problems, and ensure clean, professional results while respecting the customer’s business and maintaining a neat work area.

Requirements

• 20+ years of hands-on commercial construction, maintenance, or repair experience
• Proficiency across multiple trades, especially carpentry
• Ability to troubleshoot and work independently
• Pride in clean, professional workmanship
• Respect for customers and their business operations
• Reliable, punctual, and accountable
• Valid driver’s license
• Ownership of everyday hand tools
