🔨 EXPERIENCED COMMERCIAL HANDYMAN — 15+ YEARS IN THE TRADE

About the role

Mr. Handyman of Northern Virginia is seeking an experienced commercial handyman with 15 or more years in the trade. The company provides customers, scheduling, a company vehicle, and support while the tradesperson brings their own tools and experience. Work includes a variety of commercial repairs, maintenance, and improvements for property managers, realtors, property owners, and businesses across commercial offices, retail stores, restaurants, medical facilities, property management accounts, industrial and commercial properties, and HOAs. Some projects may require occasional overnight, weekend, or other irregular hours to work around business operations.

Responsibilities

• Carpentry, trim, and general wood repairs
• Drywall repairs, patching, and painting
• Doors, locks, hinges, and hardware
• Light plumbing and electrical repairs within qualifications
• Flooring and tile repairs
• Office and retail renovations
• Tenant improvements and interior upgrades
• General building maintenance and repairs
• Assess jobs, determine repairs, troubleshoot problems, and complete work independently
• Prepare, present, and sell estimates
• Communicate professionally with property managers and business owners
• Work from job notes, scopes of work, and customer requests
• Maintain clean and safe work areas

Requirements

• 15+ years of hands-on construction, handyman, or building repair experience
• Experience with commercial repairs, maintenance, or improvements
• Strong skills across multiple trades
• Own basic hand and power tools
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned jobs
• Ability to prepare estimates and document completed work
• Willingness to work occasional nights or weekends when needed
• Must live in Northern Virginia, preferably within the service area from Arlington to Haymarket
• Fluent English required

Pay

$25–$45+ per hour based on experience.

Schedule

Monday–Friday day shift with steady, year-round work. Occasional overnight, weekend, or irregular hours may be required to accommodate business operations.
