Commercial Fencing Estimator

About the Estimator Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and motivated Commercial Fence Estimator to join our team. As a family-owned business with over 70 years of experience, we specialize in designing, manufacturing, and installing high-quality fences for residential, commercial, and industrial properties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakdown of materials and request pricing from various suppliers.
• Sourcing subcontractors and preparing detailed, accurate estimates.
• Sourcing new suppliers/vendors for non-typical items of work.
• Identification and preparation of requests for information.
• Monitoring bids from start to finish and working with the project estimating team throughout the entire bidding process.
• Performing project site visits and assisting with project coordination.
• Aiding in the resolution of various project issues or warranty items.
• Absence at job walks, site meetings, or other meetings.
• Preparing material submittals and shop drawings (and gathering product data and information for submission on awarded projects).

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of estimating experience in commercial and public works construction, preferably in the fencing, ornamental iron, guardrail, and general contractor industry.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Able to read, understand, and interpret blueprints and perform detailed and accurate take-offs with fencing industry software.
• Able to read, understand, and interpret technical specifications and special provisions.
• Able to maintain confidentiality of all company proprietary information.
• Strong work ethic and clear understanding of teamwork.

Pay
