Commercial Fence Estimator & Sales
Summary
Prepare detailed material take-offs, cost estimates, and project specifications for commercial fencing projects.
Review plans, drawings, and bid documents to develop accurate proposals.
Meet with contractors, developers, and clients to build relationships, negotiate, and close deals.
Identify and pursue new bid opportunities beyond inbound requests.
Lead business development efforts, including expanding services with existing clients.
Maintain and manage a robust sales pipeline, forecasts, and project backlog.
Partner with leadership to analyze reports (backlog, estimated vs. actual, callbacks) and drive performance.
Support accounts receivable follow-up in collaboration with Finance.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- 3+ years of estimating experience in fencing, construction, fabrication, or related industry
- Proven ability to create accurate take-offs, bids, and proposals
- Strong understanding of pre-construction processes (plans, specs, scope development)
- Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management
- Ability to manage projects from concept through close
- Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel and estimating tools/ERP systems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate
Preferred
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Experience working with commercial contractors and bid environments

About the Role
Town & Country Fence (a division of Dakota Fence Company, along with Dakota Fence, 3D Specialties, Sign Solutions USA, Dakota Playground, Park & Play USA, Dakota Unlimited, West River Striping, Stadium Steve, DFC Property Management) is a growing fence contractor primarily involved in residential/commercial fence, gates and automated gate systems. We provide services to homeowners, commercial businesses, and government entities. Pay
$72,000–$95,000 + bonus potential
Schedule
Monday–Friday - flexible 8 hour schedule
