Responsibilities
- Cook up commercial loan closings from file setup through final funding, making sure each transaction stays on track.
- Get all the closing materials together, check them off, and make sure everything is ready for signing.
- Work closely with loan officers, operations folks, and lawyers to make sure deals move smoothly and paperwork is in order.
- Inspect settlement statements, funding docs, and other records to spot and fix any problems before money goes out the door.
- Double-check the details of new loans and make sure the files are set up right for handing off to servicing.
- Handle compliance stuff like keeping track of insurance, filing UCC docs, and doing necessary internal checks.
- Keep detailed electronic loan records and make sure important papers are stored safely for audits and future use.
- Participate in pipeline discussions and help manage the workload to prioritize active transactions and admin tasks.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience supporting commercial loan closings, loan administration, or similar commercial banking operations.
- Knows commercial lending docs, closing processes, and funding procedures inside out.
- Can juggle multiple transactions at once while staying sharp on deadlines and details.
- Good at spotting errors in paperwork and acting quickly to fix them.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced banking setting.
- Familiar with commercial banking compliance practices, including doc tracking and file quality control.
- Proficient with loan systems like Loan Vantage or Abrigo is a big plus.
- Experience in commercial banking or commercial lending support is a big plus.
