About the role

This position offers additional compensation in the form of discretionary short-term incentives (i.e. bonus, incentives, and/or commission).

Responsibilities

  • Assists loan officers by preparing various documents such as sending notices, preparing past due correspondence, printing reports and ordering appraisals as needed.
  • Aid loan officers with a variety of collateral and loan types.
  • Receive loan payments and loan information from customers, assist customers with questions, provide information about bank services, confirm loan balances, provide loan payoffs, answer credit inquiries on loan customers, and make loan advances upon request.
  • Maintain customer's credit file in an orderly and accurate manner while in their possession.
  • Forward new loans and updated documentation to Loan Servicing Departments for permanent storage and destruction.
  • Prepare and mail signed denials to borrower and forward original to Central Loan Processing.
  • Print all closing documents and prepare tickets for loan officer.
  • Responsible for placing and/or removing items from Dual Control as needed.
  • Main receptionist for the lending area. Answer phone calls, greet customers and prospective customers and direct to appropriate personnel.
  • Liaison between Mortgage center staff, Loan Processing and Loan Officer.
  • Actively cross-sell bank related products in a professional manner and process customers' transactions as needed.
  • Complete required training associated with job function.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: High school diploma. 2-year degree preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent computer skills. Excellent knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet functions. Thorough understanding of loans, loan system and Premier system. Must be able to work with a significant amount of detailed information in an accurate, timely and confidential manner. High level of interpersonal skills to interact with customers and potential customers in a professional manner. Ability to multi-task between officers and support staff. High working knowledge of both internal policies and procedures and the respective state and federal laws and regulations governing departmental functions to ensure performance of individual job duties within the proper control environment.
