Commercial Construction Superintendent

About the role

Headwaters Construction Company is seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites. The Superintendent is responsible for the supervision of the actual physical construction of the project in strict accordance with plans and specifications, ensuring quality work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The role involves directing day-to-day work activities, planning workflow, managing personnel and materials, and maintaining a constant focus on safety.

Responsibilities

• Generate and manage a three-week rolling schedule
• Conduct and attend weekly coordination meetings
• Guarantee standards are met for quality construction
• Motivate and lead subcontractor tradesmen
• Provide expertise regarding construction means and methods
• Generate and monitor punch lists for each subcontractor
• Maintain a safe construction site at all times

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Superintendent
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management preferred
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines
• Advanced understanding of trades
• Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ambitious, active, and hardworking
