About the role

Mr. Handyman of Northern Virginia is growing and looking for an experienced Commercial Building Repair Professional to perform repairs, maintenance, and light remodeling for offices, retail centers, medical facilities, property managers, and commercial buildings throughout Northern Virginia.

If you've spent 20 or more years working in commercial maintenance, construction, remodeling, or facility services, you'll appreciate working for a company that values experience, keeps your schedule full, and lets you focus on doing quality work.

Responsibilities

Every day brings a different challenge. You'll work on a variety of commercial repair and improvement projects including:

• Finish Carpentry & Commercial Door Repairs
• Drywall Repair, Patching & Painting
• Ceiling Tile & Grid Repairs
• Light Plumbing Repairs
• Light Electrical Repairs
• Commercial Hardware Installation
• Flooring, Trim & Finish Work
• Tenant Improvements
• Office Build-Out Repairs
• General Building Maintenance

No production work. No standing on one jobsite for months. Just interesting projects where your experience makes the difference.

Requirements

We're not looking for someone who's still learning. We're looking for someone other technicians turn to when something doesn't go as planned. You Probably Have:

• 20+ years of commercial construction, facilities maintenance, or remodeling experience
• Strong carpentry skills with knowledge across several trades
• Experience working in occupied commercial buildings
• The ability to diagnose problems and determine practical solutions
• Pride in delivering clean, professional workmanship
• Good communication skills with business owners, tenants, and property managers
• The ability to work independently and manage your day
• A valid driver's license
• Your own professional hand tools
