Responsibilities
- Attend to the needs of customer relationships and prospects seeking loans or lines of credit under various risk underwriting standards.
- Make decisions on loans and terms within lending limits or recommend to the Senior Lending Officer.
- Manage loan portfolios according to approved terms and in compliance with bank's lending policies.
- Provide feedback to customers on business management and financial matters to enhance relationships.
- Develop new business by calling on prospects and customers for commercial loans, focusing on cross-selling bank products and services.
- Manage ongoing loan portfolios, including addressing past dues, collateral issues, renewals, and overdrafts.
- Collect and analyze financial information to recommend credit structures and close credit relationships when necessary.
- Direct and manage administrative staff, ensuring efficient workflow and client satisfaction.
- Stay updated on new regulations, policies, and economic trends relevant to commercial lending.
- Uphold Nicolet’s philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Communicate the value of diversity within the workplace and collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent, along with an associate or bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of financial industry experience or 2-5 years of commercial banking experience.
- Proficiency in using PC, phone systems, and general office equipment.
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
