About the role
The Commercial Banker position at Nicolet National Bank is responsible for administering and supporting commercial banking activities to meet departmental goals and objectives. This includes developing and maintaining commercial loan accounts, managing loan portfolios, providing financial advice, and participating in community affairs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a variety of commercial loan accounts (secured and unsecured) meeting established lending requirements and maximizing profitability while minimizing risk.
- Develop new loan relationships through referrals and personal efforts, focusing on cross-selling bank products and services to establish comprehensive banking relationships.
- Manage an ongoing portfolio, including addressing past due accounts, collateral issues, renewals, and overdrafts, ensuring compliance with bank policies.
- Collect and analyze financial information to recommend credit structures and, if appropriate, close credit relationships.
- Direct and manage administrative staff, participate in community events, and stay informed about new regulations, policies, and economic trends.
- Uphold Nicolet's values and policies, ensuring full compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Communicate the value of diversity and work collaboratively with colleagues from various backgrounds.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent/ Associate or Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar.
- 1-3 years of financial industry experience / 2-5 years Commercial Banking experience.
- PC, phone system, general office equipment proficiency.
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication, along with strong interpersonal skills.
