The Commercial Account Manager I applies general knowledge to develop skills by carrying out structured Account Management assignments. Works within common practices and procedures to meet deadlines and achieve goals. Receives direction, instruction, and guidance from others.
Responsibilities
- Manage a small book of commercial accounts under supervision.
- Execute sales activities aligned to established account plans.
- Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, and pricing data in CRM systems.
- Respond to routine customer needs related to orders, pricing, and product availability.
- Support contract administration, renewals, and standard pricing updates.
- Cook up with internal teams (customer service, operations, finance) to fulfill orders.
- Track account performance and customer activity using standard reports.
- Aid in the preparation of quotes, proposals, and customer presentations.
- Identify basic upsell or cross-sell opportunities and escalate as appropriate.
- Build foundational skills in customer communication, negotiation, and analytics.
