About the role

Responsibilities
- Oversight of the sport and travel program.
- Selecting teams for the travel season.
- Developing daily practice schedules.
- Supervising students at all times.
- Checking on the eligibility of all athletes.
- Collecting attendance daily.
- Establishing rules and expectations for athletes.
- Supervising students during away games on the bus.
- Issuing and collecting equipment at the end of the season.
- Securing building permits.
- Awareness of MSSADA Rules and Regulations.
- CPR Training and completion of the “Concussion in Sports” course (required).
Qualifications
- Knowledgeable of sport or activity.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to successfully instruct and encourage athletes.
- CPR/First Aid and Coaches Education and Concussion certified.

Pay
Salaries are listed as Step 1, Step 2, and Step 3. A person will be paid at Step 1 during the first year that they supervised the activity. During the second year, they will be on Step 2. Starting the third year, they will be on Step 3. Salaries are based on the present collective bargaining agreement.
