About the role
The University of Utah is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Colon and Rectal Surgeon to join the Section of Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. Current fellows and early to mid-career surgeons are encouraged to apply. This position offers an FTE allotment of 0.90 clinical time with 0.10 time allocated for professional development in investigation, administration, or education.
The recruit will join a team of five surgeons supported by a Physician Assistant, General Surgical Residents, and an ACGME-accredited Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellow. As the tertiary referral center for the largest geographic catchment area in the continental U.S., the Section provides evaluation and management for a wide range of colon and rectal diseases, including complex multidisciplinary care of colorectal cancer, IBD, and pelvic floor disorders. Surgeons also serve as teaching faculty for the University of Utah General Surgery Residency Program and Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship. Leadership opportunities within the Section, Division of Surgical Oncology, or Department of Surgery may be available for the appropriate candidate.

Requirements

- Strong clinical productivity
- MIS experience (laparoscopy and robotics)
